Hey, Hi There!

My Life in
YOUR RADIO

On Air Sign

Making People Happy Seemed Like a Pretty Good Thing to Do.

I started spinning records on the radio before the Beatles first performed on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. I was still on the air in 2023, the year their final single (AI-assisted) was released. That pretty much makes me a DJ dinosaur who played all the pop, rock, Top 40, adult contemporary, Hot AC, and timeless music superstars and one-hit wonders. Turning on a microphone and connecting and communicating with listeners one-to-one is something that only happens on the radio.

It never gets old and it’s rewarding beyond words. My philosophy has always been: Have fun, play great music, and give people something to smile about whenever they tune in. After fifty-plus years of making magic at some of the greatest stations in America, I can finally tell you the story of my dream come true life.

Radio was my first love. It will be my last. Thanks for listening!

Celebrities

Did I ever tell you about having Meat Loaf on my show? And introducing Dick Clark, the Beach Boys, Elton John…and others.

Finally Revealed

HOW and WHY I was fired 7 or 8 times. Maybe 9.

And the dum-dum pants who pulled the trigger.

Bobby's Book Club

Only one book will ever be recommended. I guarantee.

Yes, it’s got plenty of silliness and friends who shared my passion for having fun and making great radio. But there’s a deeper message in this story of a kid who challenged other people’s expectations and made a life doing what I love. If you have a dream like I did, then just believe in yourself and go for it. It’s never too late.
